Localised Heat Treatment (Pre & Post Weld)

This process is used on site or at the client’s workshop to stress relieve the Parent Metal, Heat Affected Zone (HAZ and Weld metal in completed welds joints that are unable to be transported to a furnace. This method uses high temperature ceramic heating elements that are wrapped around the welded joint.  With the aid of a heavy duty 50 kVA transformer, programmer and recorder the PWHT then runs through the required cycle to meet the relevant code requirement.  This equipment can also be used to hold Pre-Heating temperatures during weld on larger and thick material weld joints
