Vacuum Box Inspection

The Vacuum box test method is used to detect leaks in completed weld joints. It uses a negative air pressure over the surface of the weld under test. Before the weld is tests, soapy water is applied to the weld surface. Once under test, any leaks will be seem as bubbles forming over the top of non-fused weld areas. All Vacuum Testing is carried out in accordance with the relevant codes
